Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: July 17, 2026
My Fitness Coach (operated in Spanish as Mi Coach Fit) wants the app to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement is an honest picture of where we are today: which accessibility measures are already part of the product, which limitations we know about, and how you can tell us when you hit a barrier.
Our commitment
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1, level AA, as our reference standard. We have not yet run a formal audit against that standard, so we do not claim to have reached it; we use it as the bar we measure and prioritize our accessibility work against.
Current measures
These accessibility measures are already part of the app:
- Semantic HTML: we use native landmarks and heading hierarchies (navigation, main content, articles, sections, and footers — none nested inside each other) so screen readers can traverse the structure of each page.
- Declared language: every page declares its language (Spanish or English), letting screen readers pick the right voice and pronunciation.
- Native interactive elements: links and buttons are native browser elements, operable by keyboard, with accessible (aria) labels localized to your language (Spanish or English).
- Skip-to-content links: the main pages include a link that lets keyboard users jump past the navigation straight to the content.
- Visible focus indicator: interactive elements show a full-opacity focus outline in both themes when navigating by keyboard.
- Verified contrast: we numerically verify the contrast of the token system’s primary color pairs (text, buttons, links, focus, and error messages) against WCAG level AA, in both the light and dark themes.
- Responsive layout: the interface adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Reduced motion: some animations, such as the rest timers and the exercise viewer, honor your system’s reduced-motion preference.
- Alternative text: exercise images include descriptive alt text.
Known limitations
We are honest about what is still missing. We are continuously working on these points:
- We have not performed a formal accessibility audit, so there may be issues we are not yet aware of.
- Our contrast verification covers the token system’s primary pairs, not every combination in every individual view.
- Some complex screens (such as workout logging or AI generation) may fall short with screen readers.
Compatibility
The app targets recent versions of modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) on desktop and mobile. We aim to work with the most common screen readers, although — without a formal audit — that support is still best-effort.
Feedback and contact
Your reports are the fastest way for us to improve. If you hit an accessibility barrier — something you cannot read, operate, or understand — write to soporte@micoachfit.com and tell us what happened and on which screen. We prioritize fixing barriers reported by our users.
